Draw seats at check-in
On Final Table, the draw happens at check-in, and everyone in your league with an account sees their table and seat on their own phone. As players bust, the clock tells you when to move someone or break a table, and the TV shows how many are left at each table. Seat draws are on the League plan; the clock, RSVPs and standings are free for up to 18 players.
Questions, answered
It splits your players as evenly as possible across the tables you need (18 players at 9-handed tables is two tables of 9; 14 is two of 7, not 9 and 5), then gives everyone a random seat using your browser's cryptographic random numbers. Draw again as often as you like.
A full ring is 9 or 10 players, and most home tables seat 8 to 10 comfortably. Short-handed games play 6 per table. Choose from 2 to 12 seats per table.
When one table has two or more players more than another, move one player from the biggest table to the smallest. Most rooms move the player who would be the big blind next, into the seat at the new table that's closest to the same position, so nobody skips or pays the blinds twice.
As soon as the players left fit at one table fewer. Break the shortest table and seat its players at random in the open seats of the others, filling the shortest tables first.
When everyone left fits at one table: at 9 or fewer with 9-handed tables. Redraw every seat for the final table, so nobody keeps a position they had by chance.
Deal one card face up to each player at the table. Highest card takes the button; on a tie, the suit decides (spades, hearts, diamonds, clubs).
